I grew up just a few miles from this barn. For as long as I remember, it was in rough shape, but lately, its days seem numbered. While this side is quite a sight, the other side is covered in blue tarps, in a last ditch effort to keep the weather out. There are warning signs and keep out signs posted throughout the property.
Scenes like this remind me of how rural New England is, and why I have chosen to live here. Hopefully this photograph can help to keep this building’s memory alive long after the physical structure has fallen.
